Breaking the Rules of Photography

1. I broke the rules of photography by only getting above her mouth in the photo.



2. I broke the rules of photography by setting up the image to be taken on a diagonal and I think when  I look at it, my head being turned makes it look more weird.


3. I broke the rules of photography by not focusing on the object of the photo and making Kylie blurry.

1. 2. 3.  Here are my photos where I broke the rules of photography.  The first rule I'm breaking is that the object of the photo should always be facing towards the sun for good lighting. Kylie is standing close to the door and the sun is behind her making a bright spot in the photo and effecting the clarity of it.  The second rule of I'm breaking is you should focus on the object of the photo.  I decided to focus on the plants instead of Kylie who is the object of the photo and the plants are blocking her face.  The second rule I broke was to have the whole object in the photo.  Here Kylie is laying on the ground and I took a photo of only the top of her face

Alternative Processes

The alternative process shown in this photo is a slink screen onto a t-shirt.  This photo is of my friends and I behind the photography room in the school. I found it printed well and turned out how I liked. The alternative process shown in this photo is developing with coffee.  I found this process very difficult and frustrating.  When englarging the contact sheet it was very difficult to find how much time to expose it for and which colour light should be used. The photos I took were at my dance show, some photos were behind the curtains and around the changerooms and other are of dancers on stage.
