This is my self portrait that represents my personality and interests.  This was taken at my favourite dance studio, Balletomane.  I'm wearing my purple leotard which helps the main focus of the photo stand out.  Along with the leo I'm wearing a skirt that I hold closely to me since it was my costume for a bedlas competition that I took part of last year.  I found an amazing opportunity to learn how to choreograph my own piece of choreography to perform on stage in front of an audience.  Dance has been a huge part of life since I was three years old and now I dance about 18 hours a week.  As you can tell by the photo dance makes me happy and I enjoy doing it with my friends. It represents me well since it's where I spend a lot of my time and it shows my artistic side that not many people see.  Before the photo was taken I turned the lights off in the studio for more of a contract up against  the window.  Since I took this on my iphone it was easy to make sure the ligh

1. 2. 3. These are my mixed lighting photos. The first photo I used natural light from the sky lights in the atrium and a ring light.  My second photo I used a studio light using the white light and a ring light, both set up at eye level to Kylie.  The third photo I used a studio light with a yellow light and a ring light up in the light corner facing down on her.

Alternative Processes

The alternative process shown in this photo is a slink screen onto a t-shirt.  This photo is of my friends and I behind the photography room in the school. I found it printed well and turned out how I liked. The alternative process shown in this photo is developing with coffee.  I found this process very difficult and frustrating.  When englarging the contact sheet it was very difficult to find how much time to expose it for and which colour light should be used. The photos I took were at my dance show, some photos were behind the curtains and around the changerooms and other are of dancers on stage.
